The Gym Group Newcastle Gosforth sits on Gosforth High Street, opposite the Brandling Arms and a short walk from Gosforth's shops and bus routes, with free parking and bike racks on nearby Ivy Road. It opens at 7am and closes at 11pm every day, so it is not a 24-hour site. The cardio floor holds more than 45 machines, including 17 treadmills, 13 cross trainers, eight bikes, six Concept II rowers and two climbmills. Strength kit runs to four plate-loaded stations, three Olympic rigs and squat racks, dumbbells from 2kg to 50kg and a Smith press station, with ten or more resistance machines and five cable stations. A HIIT zone adds kettlebells, a battle rope, ski ergs and assault bikes, and there is a glute drive. Free Wi-Fi, lockers and showers are provided, classes are included in membership, HYROX training is offered and personal trainers work on site.
