The Gym Group Newcastle City

The Gym Group Newcastle City sits in the basement of the former Co-Op building on Newgate Street, right in the centre of town next to The Gate and a short walk from Eldon Square. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The cardio floor runs to more than 45 machines, including 22 treadmills, eight cross trainers, six Concept II rowers, six bikes and three climbmills, alongside plate-loaded stations, six Olympic rigs and squat racks, dumbbells from 2kg to 50kg and two Smith press stations. There is a HIIT zone and a dedicated glutes area. Fitness classes are included in membership, HYROX training is offered, and personal trainers work on site. Memberships run with no contract, and an off-peak option is available for quieter hours. There are no bike racks in the building, but there are stands across the road at Eldon Square.
